Winning in a dominating display was Helen Tucker, 9 up, while runner up Marianne Easton was also impressive with her total of 8 up. Easton rounded out a good day with two nearest the pin awards. Other winners on the par 3 holes were Gayle Dadswell, Goldie Rowe and Judy Edwards.
Saturday’s stableford was taken out by a new member playing in her first competition at Chalambar. Ann Mackintosh, who has previously played in Geelong, made an impressive start with 39 points.
Dadswell had to settle for runner up with 37 points and also took out the two NTP honours on offer.
Thursday was the second round of the par 3 championships. The ladies division was taken out by Nola Mahoney, one stroke ahead of first round winner Marg Lardner. With one round to play, the overall result still hangs in the balance with Mahoney and Lardner in the mix.
