The Combine team took a 14-run advantage into the second innings, courtesy of Damien Joiner’s 37-run innings.
Buangor overcome the deficit quickly and went about building a second innings lead.
The top order batsmen all got a start with Jack Fraser going on to reach 49 to top the scorecard for Buangor.
Matt Heffer’s six-wicket haul was vital with Swifts-Great Western able to restrict Buangor to 174, meaning the target to win would be 161.
Combine captain Sam Cocks led from the front, as he went about chasing down the target alongside opening partner James Devery.
The first wicket fell with 39 runs on the board, as Cocks continued his aggressive scoring before being dismissed for 43.
Damien Joiner was the fourth and final wicket to fall for Combine, as Swifts-Great Western reached 4-111 from 70 overs to all but end the chance of a second innings result, prompting both captains to call the game off.
The first innings win by Swifts-Great Western meant the minor premiers prevented Buangor from winning back-to-back A Grade premierships.
Swifts-Great Western’s Jamie Bach was awarded the Steve Wombat Smith medal for being the best player in the final.
He collected six wickets across the two innings and scored 16 runs for Combine to show his all-round capabilities.
