An excellent field of 39 ladies competed. Coming out on top was the combination of Nola Pugh (handicap 27), Trish Heard (21) and Maryanne Harricks (24) on 79 points. Kerry Huntley, from Tura Beach, teamed with Marg Peoples and Wendy Brady to finish 2nd with 73. Nearest the pin awards went to Maryanne Harricks, Goldie Rowe, Marg Lardner, Trish Heard and Therese Jess.
Chris Dohnt (35 points) won Saturday’s stableford event, four points clear of Judy Edwards. Lyn Thomas picked up the nearest the pin award.
Wendy Brady (29 points) showed the rest of the field a clean pair of heels in Monday’s 12-hole stableford. Next best with 23 points was Chris Hurstfield, who survived a countback from Therese Jess.
Next Wednesday, ladies will play a stroke round in the hunt for the monthly brooch.
