The two teams have met twice this year with Chalambar winning both matches by a small margin which should give the confidence ahead of the season decider.
The draw of the cards will be crucial to see who plays Grant Seeary’s rink as they have been the stand out performer for the team recently with his side getting the win for Chalambar.
Chris Young has moved into the skippers role and has been very competitive with close results most weeks while Shane Todd can be hard to handle if he gets his shots right.
Stawell have plenty of depth in their team with Andrew Sharp’s rink winning most weeks, Don Austerberry and Andrew Cray have been playing for a long time and have good support from all their team.
The game will be played at Ararat Bowling club.
The division title will be contested between Stawell Blue and Stawell Gold also at the Ararat Bowling club.
The Blue team will start favourites with the team winning all three matches against Gold this year.
Terry Griffin and Peter Morrow are both skipping well for the team.
The Gold side gave itself a chance of an unlikely premiership win with a hard fought win in the preliminary against Ararat V.R.I.
Joy Seeary and Rob Maconachie have plenty of experience and can play big shots when required. It will be a grand final win for Stawell but it remains to be seen which one.
