The Gappers were looking for their first win of the season and resumed the match with six wickets remaining but an early breakthrough for the Grasshoppers meant the home team was going to find it tough to reach the target.
Brad Slorach and Andrew Shovan applied the pressure from both ends with Halls Gap captain Les Pyke the only batsman to provide any resistance, dismissed two runs short of 50.
The home team was eventually all out for 137 after 49 overs to lose by 108 runs to finish off the disappointing season.
Slorach finished the innings with 6-39 from his 16 overs of impressive bowling.
The loss means Halls Gap failed to win a game while the Grasshoppers finished with three victories.
Neither team was able to win enough games to qualify for finals which start on Saturday.
