The state government has appointed West Melbourne firm CCB Envico to complete the upgrade.
Architects Morton Dunn Pty Ltd designed the upgrade, which aimed to give students state-of-the-art science and computer facilities to learn in.
Construction began in December 2017 to lay the groundwork.
The project, expected to be completed by December 2018, includes replacing existing facilities with new technology science wings to create learning areas around central corridors.
The design was intended to improve visibility between teaching spaces and encourage open and flexible learning.
The new building will house science laboratories, food technology kitchens, general purpose classrooms, computer rooms and toilets.
The project also includes landscaping with tree plantings, lawn and garden beds to improve walking areas, and maintenance to the administration and library buildings and arts spaces.
