St Arnaud Swimming Club president Troy Hendy said there was 123 individual entries in the competition.
Clubs from Ararat, St Arnaud, Stawell, Horsham, Warracknabeal, Ballarat and the Grampians were represented at the meet.
“It was a very good day,” Mr Hendy said.
“It rained for half the day and then the sun came out and it was blue sky, which was unusual because we always have 40 degree days at our meet.”
Ararat’s Ivana Donnan and Horsham’s Deacon Briggs won the Leigh Amos Memorial Trophy.
The award recognised the the best 12 to 13 year old male and female over four strokes. Horsham’s Jorja Clode won the Heather Phillips Memorial trophy for the highest aggregate in the 10 to 11 years age group.
The trophy is in honour of former Donald Swimming Club president Heather Phillips.
St Arnaud was also the winning club of the day, with a combined team score of 404 points.
Horsham was second and Ararat third.
Mr Hendy said the day finished off with a fun relay with the parents.
“Everyone was keen to get in the water,” he said.
