Batting first, the opening batsmen dominated Navarre’s bowlers for the entirety of the innings.
Blandford’s opening partner Andrew McDougall lost his wicket for 10 runs, bringing Ashley Maconachie.
Maconachie and Blandford put on the biggest partnership of the Grampians Cricket Association season so far, demoralising Navarre’s bowling attack to put on 175 runs together.
Maconachie fell for 68, bringing Tatyoon captain Michael Harricks to the crease.
Harricks put on a quickfire 29 while Blandford kept scoring, going on to finish unbeaten on 136.
The innings took Blandford’s season total against Navarre to 238 runs from two knocks, going not out both times.
The visitors set a nearly un-chaseable total of 256, which Navarre struggled to chase.
Grasshoppers captain Tom Hannett led the way with an unbeaten score of 79, while Brad Slorach batted well with his skipper for his 33 not out.
Navarre lost just five wickets but fell 89 runs short of Tatyoon’s score.
Tatyoon made its way into the top four following the win. They have the second best percentage in the competition which could prove crucial in the lead up to the finals.
