With half the season remaining, it is a crucial time of year for team to start breaking away and make their way into a firmer top four position.
Just six point separates third and seventh, making for an interesting back end to the season.
We take a look at the upcoming round 11 GCA B Grade action.
Buangor v Willaura
- Buangor Rec Reserve
Just six points separates these sides heading into Saturday.
The young Willaura side has been impressive so far in the 2017-18 season, with its biggest scalp a round four win over Rhymney-Moyston.
Buangor will need to win to keep in touch with the fourth placed Willaura.
Chalambar v Halls Gap
- Halls Gap Rec Reserve
This match will take place at Halls Gap Recreation Reserve, with the originally scheduled venue of Gordon Street Recreation Reserve unable to host games yet due to works on the ground.
Chalambar had an unlucky finish to 2017, with two of its last three matches being drawn due to rain, preventing them from holding onto top spot.
The Gappers found form late and will look to stay in the finals hunt with an upset win.
Swifts-Great Western v St Andrews
- Great Western Rec Res
The Combine will look to consolidate its spot at the top of the B Grade ladder against the dangerous St Andrews.
A win for St Andrews would give them a significant boost towards a top two spot.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac v Rhymney-Moyston
- Wickliffe Rec Res
It may be a tough start to the new year for the home side, with Rhymney-Moyston looking to recapture thier good early season form in their first game of 2018.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac is yet to record a win that was not given by forfeit.
Youth Club v Pomonal
- North Park, Stawell
The Clubbers struggled in the first half of the season, with a lack of players causing plenty of issues.
A home game against struggling Pomonal will be the perfect way for Youth Club to get its season back on track and in with a chance of a finals berth.
The Clubbers are currently six points outside the top four.
Pomonal is in a completely different position to its opponents, sitting win-less at the bottom of the ladder.
