Culling has been an important part of the Ararat cycling community for many years, which included a tenure as the president of the Ararat and District Cycling Club. Harold also volunteered hundreds of hours to assist Team VIS at national championships.
A Cycling Victoria statement said he made a big contribution to the sport.
“Bull made a huge contribution to Victorian cycling through his roles at the Ararat and District Cycling Club and with Team Victoria,” it said. “He was always ready to help anyone out, anywhere, anytime. He will be greatly missed.”
His legacy will continue on through Alice and Murray who are both talented junior cyclists with Alice already attracting attention after being selected in the Australian squad for the 2017 UCI Junior World Championships in Italy.
Bull’s funeral will be on Tuesday January 2 at Alexandra Gardens, starting at 1pm. No flowers by request, donations to St Vincents Hospital ICU or East Grampians Health Service will be accepted.
