In what is becoming a common trend for her, Karen Brennan has again topped the standings at Chalambar, knocking off Colleen Wilkinson in a competitive final this month.
The final score was 25 to 21, Giving Karen Brennan her sixth singles championship win in a row at Chalambar.
It caps off a stunning year for Brennan who competed in her first Moama Open event as well as playing in Queensland against national champions.
The Ararat Bowls Club championships was a hotly contested battle between Faith Warner and Carroll Arney with the latter getting the victory in the A Grade match-up.
Arney has proved to be a steady player despite only being new to the game, as she also claimed the B Grade championship with a win against Shirley Green.
Ararat VRI’s championship was won by veteran Lorna Neil after she held off Savanna Lauder in the final 25 shots to 12.
Olive Gibson won Aradale’s club championship in just her first season with the club.
Gibson played juniors in New Zealand but had taken a break from the sport but was able to get the win against Tammy Hope in a bit of a one-sided match-up to progress through.
Dawn Blackman won the Stawell Golf final against Barbara Hurley in a good battle between the pair.
The Ararat Advertiser tried to contact other clubs to get other results but did not hear back at the time of printing.
All the club winners will fight it out for the Champion of Champions title in early 2018.
The division winner will then progress to the regional final where they will take on the winner from North Central, North Wimmera and Wimmera divisions.
The Champion of Champions is set to be played on January 8 and 9.
