There was 12 boys teams and 12 girls teams involved at the regional finals with all three schools performing well on the day.
Ararat West PS physical education teacher Josh McDougall said it was a fun day for everyone involved.
“Our kids loved it, they were very challenging games but the team was in every game towards the end,” he said.
“Our team consisted of grade six pupils mostly, was a good chance to get out and work as a team in a positive environment.”
It was not the first time the team had made it to this stage of the competition.
“We have made the regional finals a few times,” McDougall said.
All teams played three games across the day in a round robin format to decide the winner.
Skipton Primary School won both division finals to progress through to the state finals which will be played at the MCG on Thursday.
