Pomonal forfeited its fourth B Grade match of the season so far, giving Buangor a walkover win in round six on Saturday.
Pomonal had forfeited the first three rounds of the season, before playing the next two matches.
We have had a talk among the executive committee and we will meet with Pomonal on Tuesday night to discuss what is happening.
- David Turner
Grampians Cricket Association president David Turner said the future of Pomonal in the B Grade competition for the remainder of the season will be discussed during the week.
“We have had a talk among the executive committee and we will meet with Pomonal on Tuesday night to discuss what is happening,” he said.
“The options are open whether they are allowed to continue or not.
“From what we have been told we believe they have the numbers, it is just a matter of having them available.
“We will wait and see what they put forward to us on Tuesday.”
In the biggest game of the round, Youth Club hosted undefeated ladder leaders Chalambar at North Park.
Chalambar’s batting lineup failed to fire after batting first, with a five wicket haul from Clubbers bowler Wes Illig keeping the visitors to just 109.
The Clubbers lost just six wickets in the reply, handing Chalambar its first loss of the 2017-18 season.
Trent Homden opened the batting with a score of 40 to steer the Clubbers to a big victory.
Swifts-Great Western had no issues defeating Halls Gap, easily chasing down the total of 72.
Willaura also managed to keep Wickliffe-Lake Bolac to a cheap score, bowling them out for 74 to record another victory.
St Andrews continued the demise of Rhymney-Moyston, easily accounting for them.
Ben Boatman (79) and James Laidlaw (56) led the way for St Andrews, as they put together a total of 183.
Rhymney-Mosyton’s top order once again failed, with the side managing just 104 in reply.
Now six weeks into the season, Turner said clubs need to be remind players that drinking alcohol during matches is forbidden.
“The by-laws refrain players refrain from drinking during games so just a quick reminder to everyone.”
