Principal Terry Keilar said he was excited to see the portable classrooms begin to arrive on Friday morning.
“It’s a sign that things are going back to normal,” he said,
“The Education Department plans to have the school back up and running by November 13.
“That’s not definite and could be subject to change, but if all things go to plan then we should be able to have the school back open in the week after next.”
Ararat West pupil Emilee said she was very excited to see the new classrooms arrive.
Ararat West Primary School lost four classrooms and an art building to an early morning fire on the weekend.
Police and the Country Fire Authority are investigating the cause.
About 150 Ararat West pupils have been attending a school within a school set up at Ararat College since Monday.
