Program manager Jo Clyne said students had participated in four workshops that explored different periods of history. She said to complete the program students created a “passion project”.
“Students selected a period of history they were most interested and created an exhibit to showcase what they had learnt,” she said.
“They selected topics from ancient history to Australian and medieval.”
Dr Clyne said the program was for the gifted with an interest in history.
The history enrichment program was a collaborated between the History Teachers’ Association of Victoria and Federation University.
Schools involved in this year’s program included Holy Trinity Lutheran College, St. Malachy’s School, Marnoo Primary School, Nhill College, Natimuk Primary School, Dimboola Memorial Secondary College, St. Brigid’s College, Goroke P-12 College, Marian College Ararat and Horsham College.
