Police are investigating three fires which have occurred in Ararat over the past week.

The fires occurred the former Prestige Mill site at the corner of Lowe and Queen Streets, Ararat on Thursday at about 7.30pm; Ararat West Primary School on Kneebone Street, Ararat on Saturday at about 1.10am; and A house on Tuson Street, Ararat on Sunday at about 7.15pm.
No one was injured in the fires however the buildings received extensive damage.
The cause of the fires is yet to be determined however police do not believe any of the fires are linked at this stage.
Acting Inspector David Ellis said police are continuing to investigate the three fires.
“Police take any potentially deliberate or reckless acts of arson in the community very seriously and we will be thoroughly investigating each of these incidents,” he said.
“If you see someone trying to light a fire please call Triple Zero for an immediate response.”
