Willaura lost the toss on its home deck and was sent in to bat first with the opening pair of Evans Bryce and Ryan Townsend to open its innings.
The pair put on 15 runs before Tom Mills caught Bryce off the bowling of Adam Haslett for 13.
Soon after Townsend was dismissed for six and it triggered a mini collapse with two more wickets falling to leave Willaura struggling at 4-22.
The lower order steadied, through some late efforts from Josh Byron who topscored with 40 to leave Willaura all out for 102.
Scotty Cocking and Stephen Phillips both finished with three wickets each.
The run chase got off to a nervy start with Byron taking the new ball and causing some damage, leaving St Andrews at 3-13.
A 63-run partnership between Mills and Haslett proved pivotal, as St Andrews went on to reach the target in 37 overs with four wickets in hand.
Byron finished with 3-14 from his eight overs in a classic all-rounder performance.
The win leaves St Andrews in second spot on the B Grade ladder ahead of its round two clash against Swifts-Great Western.
Willaura will clash with Buangor in its second match of the season on Saturday.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac and Youth Club both received maximum points after their opponents forfeited.
