Publicity officer Sonia Matthews said great weather helped draw crowds to the event at Horsham Botanic Gardens.
She said presentations about spring gardening and vegetable gardening from Channel Nine’s The Garden Gurus presenter Melissa King were among the highlights.
“People really liked her, and many came up and commented on how much they enjoyed her presentations,” she said.
“The spinning wheel was very popular, and we had lots of donations for prizes from Horsham traders.
“A lot of people also commented on how good the plants looked, how healthy they were, and the range of choice.”
Ms Matthews said children enjoyed building native bee homes and grass heads with Horsham Urban Landcare members.
She said it was wonderful to see people from across the Wimmera and from further afield at the event.
“We had a good crowd on Saturday, and there seemed to be a lot of people around on Sunday too,” she said.
