Ararat cyclist Alice Culling was part of the launch of Cycling Victoria’s 120th Austral Wheelrace and Australian Madison Championships last week.
The event will be hosted at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena on December 16 with Culling set to compete.
It comes after the talented 17-year-old returned from her first international event at the UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Italy last month.
The championships will be another step for Culling towards her dream of representing Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
She told the Cycling Victoria website the Austral event will be a competitive. "Hisense is a great track, it is really fast, the crowd gets behind you, it is a fantastic atmosphere,” she said.
