Now in its thirteenth year, the program has distributed more than $140,000 to 180 local community not-for-profit organisations.
Ararat RSL sub-branch president Frank Neulist said he was delighted with the response to previous years’ programs, which had seen the region’s schools, kindergartens, junior sporting clubs and volunteer community group’s benefit.
Cash grants of up to $1000 will be available to community groups that meet the relevant criteria.
Mr Neulist said the program does not replace any commitment to the 100 or more community organisations that RSL supports.
Application forms will be available from the Ararat RSL sub-branch between 10am- 5pm.
Applications close on October 26 at 5pm.
