Grampians Grease Monkeys president Mark Rudolph said proceeds from the Saturday event would go towards Victoria Police’s ‘Beat the Heat’ program for safe and legal drag racing.
“It went really well. We started off with about 40 cars in Ararat and by the time we got to Bacchus Marsh our line had grown to 100 cars,” Mr Rudolph said.
“It was really, really successful.”
The cars departed from the Caltex service station outside Ararat and made a stop over at the Ballarat Road Rodders club house for lunch.
Mr Rudolph said he wished to thank Victoria Police for escorting the cruise.
