Archie was practising at the Coughlin Park cricket nets with his father Andrew in December 2014 when he drove the ball into the face of Tom who was acting as the camera-man at a very short mid-on.
“I had been waiting for the right opportunity and I saw the competition come up a couple of months so I sent it in,” he said.
“It’s great to be able to win the money for the club. Fundraising is so important at clubs.”
Saints secretary Trent King said it was always good to have unexpected funds come in.
“It’s great that the Sostheim family put the video in,” he said.
“We’re undertaking some pretty major ground upgrades so it’s a huge help.”
Andrew said he, Archie and Tom always had the camera out ready to capture another classic memory.
“The boys have already put the footballs away and it’s now back into cricket season,” he said.
