The free forum will take place at the Ararat Bowling Club at 10am on September 14 and is open to all and will give businesses, residents and stakeholders a chance to have their say.
The Coalition’s Victorian Population Taskforce chair Tim Smith will give an overview of how Ararat and Stawell can take advantage of the state’s growing population.
Ms Staley said the region has strong growth potential that needs to be managed carefully.
“The Grampians region has great potential. If we are able to strategically harness Victoria’s
growing population then Ararat and Stawell could grow at a rapid rate”.
“The Liberals’ plan will identify development opportunities in the region and work with businesses and the local community to attract more jobs and population growth.”
“It is unsustainable to concentrate all of Victoria’s growth in Melbourne, regional centres should be the focus of future growth.”
