The Grasshoppers kept their finals hopes alive with a tight three-goal win over the Bulldogs last weekend.
It was Navarre’s second win over Avoca for the season, preventing the Bulldogs from a top four berth and moving them into a sudden death final.
Navarre coach Taylor Mason said the success during the season is important.
“We have beaten them twice now which is a nice mental edge to have,” she said.
Navarre has won the last four MCDFNL A grade premierships, and has not lost a final since the qualifying final of 2014.
The Grasshoppers will go in with the same team that beat Avoca last weekend.
The first elimination final will take place at Princes Park, Maryborough on Sunday, August 27 at 2.35pm.
