The Grasshoppers ran riot in the last home and away game of the MCDFNL season, kicking 24.16.160 to 0.0.0.
Navarre assistant coach Matt Newton said it was a nice way to continue momentum into finals.
“It was quite a good win and to keep them scoreless was great,” he said.
“All the hard work we have put in over the season has gotten us to this point. The season starts again this weekend for finals.”
Josh Fowkes had an impressive return to the senior side, booting six goals as one of the best on ground for Navarre.
Sam Kaye, Brent Flood and Daniel Reading were the three best players for the minor premiers, with young Riley Bibby also standing up to boot five goals in the absence of key forward Cody Driscoll.
“It is about intensity and work rate for our forwards,” Newton said.
“We have been harping on that we don’t care who kicks the goals, just as long as they get kicked. Riley has gotten on board with that.”
Navarre will play Harcourt in a qualifying final next weekend.
