Storm mainstay Simon Clugston was involved in an incident where he broke his leg, in the final game of the home and away season.
The game was called as a draw and the teams split the points.
Tigers coach Josh Beddison said calling off the game was in the best interests of all involved.
“There is a rule that says if half an hour passes and the ambulance hasn’t got to the injured player, the game is called off,” he said.
“It’s not nice to ever see something like that in country footy.

“He hurt himself pretty badly.”
Beddison said it was an interesting way to finish the year.
“It gave everyone a bit of an empty feeling at the end of the season,” he said.
“But there was nothing riding on the game so it was the best choice.”
