Mt William was turned into a winter wonderland on Friday afternoon as the temperature dropped to -0.3 degrees at 3.30pm.
Bureau of Meterology forecaster Peter Blake said there would be snow showers in the Grampians on Friday afternoon and overnight to Saturday morning.
“There have been reports of snow at low levels in the Dandenongs, which are a lot lower than the Grampians,” he said.
“Snow showers should ease on Saturday – they are more likely to occur overnight than during the day.
“There is a good chance there will be snow when people wake up on Saturday.”
It is the second time snow has fallen in the Grampians this month, with Boroka Lookout turning white on August 6.
