Business Horsham executive administrator Wendy Mitchell said seven cafes raised more than $2000 collectively. She said Cafe Jas, Chickpea, Cheeky Fox and The Oven Door Bakery were joined by Wheat Milk Sugar, Cafe Red Cherry and Nourish’d this year.
“It’s just one day of the year during homeless week that $1 from each coffee they sell goes directly to a great cause – those in need,” she said.
Mrs Mitchell said the money was donated to StreetSmart Australia to be refunded back to Business Horsham’s charity Target 365 for the homeless in the Wimmera, which is administered through Uniting Care.
