Johannah Parker returned to the midcourt for the home team last week and her influence was felt immediately and will take confidence from the performance.
She is a quiet achieving player that uses her ability to read the ball to cause intercepts and deflections down the court.
She will line up against Amanda McClelland who is having a great season.
McClelland continues to provide composed and reliable leads through the middle corridor. It will be a battle in the Pies goal circle as Simone McDonald will have to compete with Eagles defender Kirsty Williams.
McDonald is the main target for the Pies as she works hard both in and around the ring.
She will need to be strong and work for her possessions as Williams has been in great form the last few weeks.
Williams guards the goal circle, making it difficult for the opposition goalies to gain easy access to the post.
She will need to keep McDonald out of the circle as much as possible to stop them from scoring.
The Pies will need to take their opportunities, as the Eagles are strong rebounders.
Both teams have struggled to put the same side on the court each week, however the Eagles have too much riding on this game to let it slip through their fingers and should get the points on their home court. The match is scheduled to start at 1pm at Hawkesdale Recreation Reserve.
