It was a slow start for the Bulldogs with the Swans utilising their home ground advantage to take a one-point lead into the first break.
From there the visitors gained control of the match, courtesy of an eight goal second term while restricting Caramut to just one behind to head into the rooms a bit more positive at half time.
The Swans came out after half time and won the third term by two points with both teams scoring two goals, leaving the Bulldogs with a 52-point lead going into the final quarter.
The visitors left the best til last, as the Rovers had 14 scoring opportunities in the final term and kicked nine majors to finish 22.15.147 to 6.7.43 winners at the final siren.
Jarryd Underwood again topped the goal tally for the Bulldogs, finishing with six while Sam Munro slotted four majors while Thomas Thewlis was named best on ground.
In a solid defensive performance, the Rovers restricted Caramut’s scoring with the Swans having no multiple goalscorers.
The result means the Rovers sit in sixth position, just one game out of the top five with a good percentage.
