So it is probably little surprise she has stepped up to a career in the fitness industry.

Miss Gascoyne is Snap Fitness Horsham’s new manager. The Murtoa-born qualified personal trainer started the role last month.

“I was a trainer here beforehand, and our former manager decided the role just wasn’t for her,” she said.

“I had the opportunity to step up and I’ve taken it.

“It was a little difficult to start off with. Normally I’m getting out there a bit more rather than spending time sitting behind a desk.

“It’s completely different to a personal trainer role, but I’m really enjoying it.”

The business has also welcomed personal trainers, Horsham’s Carley McInerney and Rachelle Arnott.

Miss Gascoyne, 25, said Snap Fitness aimed to provide a friendly and comfortable atmosphere with world-class equipment.

The business also offers a range of group fitness classes including high intensity interval training and boxing, as well as mum’s and children’s classes.

Earlier this year, Miss Gascoyne signed on as coach of the Wimmera Whippets all abilities netball team.

She said she loved engaging with people from all walks of life, and her community-minded approach was something that gelled with the business.

“We try to do a lot of things with charities and involve the community,” she said.

“This half of the year we want to get out and start building up our charity work, whether it be with the Starlight Foundation, Asthma Australia or any other group.

“We are hoping to host a public event in September to raise money for the Asthma Foundation Victoria.

“I’m an asthmatic so it’s a cause close to my heart.

“We really want to try to get out there in the community.”

Miss Gascoyne said the team was also planning a Christmas in July market for some time in the next few weeks.

“We are hoping to run a mini market with our partnered businesses,” she said
