AFL Wimmera-Mallee football development manager Jason Muldoon said the group had performed well.
Matthew Spalding from Ararat won the squad’s best and fairest award.
“Matt is just a very consistent footballer who can play various roles on the field which is what we look for at this stage,” Muldoon said.
Swifts’ player Sam Chatfield was runner-up.
“Sam is a really good player who wins his own ball around the ground,” Muldoon said.
“It was difficult to split him and Matt, they will both do well in Gippsland later in the year.”
Horsham Saints player Gage Wright and Nhill’s Harold Pritchard received the most disciplined player and encouragement awards respectively.
“Gage is just a really good kid who always puts in all the time,” Muldoon said.
All four players were selected as part of the 2017 Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academy V/Line Cup squad.
