The Pumas got off to a great start but were not able to capitalise on their dominance.
With more than double the scoring attempts in the first quarter the Pumas led the Tigers 12-7.
Chloe Dunmore continued her solid form in the goal circle for the Pumas.
Dunmore provided strong drives along the baseline and continued to create movement in the ring and gave herself plenty of opportunities to score as the game was tied at 21-21 at half time.
The Tigers continued to build on the momentum from the second quarter into the third and held a six goal lead at the final change.
The Pumas welcomed Melinda Beal back into their line-up for the match but it was at the other end the team had their issues.
The Pumas finished with more scoring attempts but had not been able to convert, as they lost 40-49.
