It has been tight competition at Aradale Golf Club with four winners across four events in recent weeks.

Mick Bextream was able to hang on by two shots ahead of Ken Mahney in the stroke event on Sunday.

Nearest the pins went to Stuart Allen on the eighth and Josh Matthews on the ninth hole.

Robert Jenkins topped the stableford standings with 36 points, two clear of Gary Sherwell on Saturday.

Brian Richards got nearest the pin.

Winner Ken Mahney had a five-shot win ahead of Gary Sherwell on July 1 with Olive Gibson, Lois Dunne and Sherwell picking up the nearest the pin awards.

Josh Matthews and Mick Collins teamed up to win the stableford aggregate event with 77 points on July 2.

Marcus Matthews and Laos Seres scored 70 points to finish in second place.

Nearest the pins were Campbell Gibson on the third and Marcus Matthews on the ninth hole.

The club will host a Saturday Stableford and Sunday Stroke, starting at noon.
