The Beat The Heat ute that competed at the One Tree Hill climb in Ararat is on display at Grampians Ford for people to go and have a look at.

The Ford ute will remain there until at least June 30 for people to go and inspect the car and its modifications with photos allowed.

The Ararat police station has been heavily involved in getting the car to the region to promote a variety of community programs.

Senior Constable Danielle Richardson said she wants the public to go and have a look and take some nice pictures of the modified car.

“Beat the Heat has three large scale funding submissions currently being assessed and community interest will be what convinces the funding bodies to help us,” she said.

“Once we have secured a large scale grant, we will be able to commence Project Right Path Youth Shed and expand the youth motorsport mentoring program in our area.

“Help us get the word out there in the region, we have had some wonderful feedback from the community and we would love to launch the program in Ararat this year.”
