The Lions were caught out by a quick start from the home team, with the Swans piling on seven goals to four in the first quarter.
The visitors responded after the first break with a flurry of goals in the second quarter to close the gap before late goals to the Lions just before the half time siren gave the away team a six-point lead going into the long break.
The see-sawing battle continued after half time with the Swans gaining the ascendancy on the scoreboard, courtesy of its own six goals to one quarter to put the pressure on the Lions.
The visitors were unable to close the gap, losing 15.12.102 to 17.20.122.
