Wickliffe-Lake Bolac struggled to keep up with Woorndoo-Mortlake in the Magpies’ round nine match, losing by 44 goals at Woorndoo on Saturday.

The Pies that had more scoring shots in the first quarter, but the Tigers were able to convert with 100 per cent accuracy to take a 14-9 goal lead into the first huddle.

The home team switched into gear in the second term extended the margin to 26 goals at half time.

The Tigers continued to push out the lead, finishing 73-29 winners.
