Ararat fell behind by 37-points within a quarter and conceded more than 100 points in the first half before the game finished 29.16 (190) to 9.8 (62).
The side had no answer as Jake Underwood kicked 10 goals for the Rovers. Aaron Jenkins was a shining light in the loss as he kicked six goals for the Eagles.
Great Western v Moy-Willaura
IT WAS no easier for a Great Western side that struggled to regularly get on the scoreboard against Moyston-Willaura.
The Lions suffered a 137-point loss as the game ended 22.27 (159) to 3.4 (22).
It could have been much worse for Great Western if Moyston-Willaura had been more efficient in front of goals during the second quarter.
The Lions were held scoreless as the away team added six goals and eight behinds to its first quarter total.
