Laharum Hall’s Biggest Morning Tea co-ordinator, Liz Hopkins, said it was the 12th year of hosting the event and it has only gone from strength to strength.
Nearly 80 people attended Thursday’s lunch.
“I’m thrilled to see people coming back each year and having people from other towns wanting to attend,” Mrs Hopkins said.
David Whitcher of the Dadswell Bridge Dawdlers walking group said the group had attended the event for many years.
Wimmera Health Care Group’s communications manager and Wimmera Cancer Centre fundraising sub-committee chairwoman, Amelia Crafter, was a guest speaker at the event.
She spoke about the Wimmera Cancer Centre, due to be built in Horsham.
Also to speak was Gil Hopkins, who spoke of his experience with melanoma.
Laharum Community Hall not only raised money for the Cancer Council, but also for the Rachael’s Wish Fundraising Appeal with a bring and buy stall.
A lunch was served with the help of Laharum Primary School’s year 6 students.
Other Biggest Morning Tea events open to the public included the Cancer Council Volunteer Group at Horsham’s Hamilton Lamb Hall, the Stawell Library and Meritum Financial Group.
Nuseed and HC Pro in Horsham also registered a morning tea for staff.
