Carly Behncke and Michayla McRae have been teaming extremely well in the ring for the Bombers.
They have both impacted on the scoreboard and have regularly appeared in the best.
Ararat will have to work extremely hard to quell the influence the Bombers goalies have if it is to keep itself in the game.
Jordyn Leggett has been giving it her all in defence for Ararat but will need her best game as well as great support from her teammates.
Sarah West had a solid game last week for Ararat at goal attack.
She will come up against Leah Rentsch who has also had a great start to the season.
Rentsch reads the ball exceptionally well so West will need to be creative and the passes from teammate Abby Driscoll will need to be accurate.
Rentsch will force West and fellow goalie Alana Jenkins to work hard for each and every possession.
Penshurst should be too strong across the court, but they should not underestimate Ararat. As a team Ararat play a tough style of netball and sides certainly need to play quality netball to beat them.
Ararat coach Alana Jenkins said the focus at training this week has not changed from previous weeks.
“It is just like always, just to put the pressure on all the way down the court and maintain it for the full four quarters,” she said.
“We are working really hard on that this year, we have let it get down to our defence too easily at times, but we are definitely progressing in that area.”
The Eagles will be back on their home deck for the match against the Demons.
Jenkins said that while most courts are similar, it is always good to play in front of the home crowd.
“We like our home court, we train there each week, so we enjoy it,” she said.
The Eagles will be forced to make some changes to the round five game with midcourter Holly Leggett set to miss the match, due to unavailability.
Carly Croton and Jess Wright will both get promoted from the B Grade team to cover the loss, while adding some versatility to the team.
Jenkins said the 500th game of Riki McRoberts will not play a significant part in motivating the A Grade side but hopefully she can get the win and the A Grade squad can replicate it as well.
The first-year-coach also praised her team for how well they are gelling on court.
“We are all getting on really well, working well as a team and I think we are progressing well at this stage,” Jenkins said.
“We are all working hard at training and during games, and creating plenty of chances to score.
“Myself and Sarah West work really well in the attacking end, so I like to leave us both there.”
