The tour follows The Mik Maks brothers, Joel, Al, and Dean McInnes as they take care of their grandparents’ farm – but unfortunately, the animals escape.
“It’s a great setting for our show. Our audiences will meet lots of animals, and get some important messages about healthy eating, being active, having fun,” Joel McInnes said.
The 50-minute show includes animated projections, a brand new character Drums the Panda and the help of the audience to get the animals safely home before grandma and grandpa return.
Both new original songs and favourites from The Mik Maks studio albums will be performed.
“Joel and I are both teachers by trade and all of us in the band have young kids of our own, so we know what children enjoy, and, most importantly, what makes them laugh and dance,” Al McInnes said.
The Mik Maks have a loyal following across the country.
Their catchy, high-tempo country rock songs have been played at festivals across Australia and performed on Australia’s Got Talent in 2016.
The tour is inspired by the McInnes brother’s experiences growing up on their farm at Wickliffe, south of Ararat.
