Powell and Brady take top honours at Chalambar Golf Club

Sharon Powell and Marilyn Brady teamed up to take the top honours in the Chalambar Golf Club chapmans partners event on Wednesday.

The pair finished with a combined score of 86 off the stick to finish with 74 from a handicap of 12.

Judy Edwards and Rene Hamilton tried to reel the leaders in but managed to finish in second place.

Nearest the pins went to Sandra Brady on the sixth hole, Jane Richardson on the eighth, Lyn Faneco on the 16th and Marg Brehaut on the 18th.

It was Brehaut who topped the scorecard on Saturday.

She finished with 33 points in the stableford event to claim the honours ahead of Helen Tucker who was two points further back.

Brehaut topped off the win with a nearest the pin on the 16th hole to make it a near perfect week on the course.

The club will host events on Saturday morning and then another round on Wednesday.

Tee times will start at 9.30am.
