YOUNG footballers from eight different clubs enjoyed a chance to run out onto Etihad Stadium on Sunday during the game between Essendon and Melbourne.

A group of 112 juniors from eight different Auskick centres enjoyed the day.
Andrew Sostheim was one of the major coordinator and said everyone had a ball.
“Something like this is huge to bridge the gap between country areas and the the top level of sports,” he said.
“A highlight for the little leaguers was definitely the guard of honour and the high fives they got from the AFL stars.
“The young grid game kids got to see themselves on the big screens.”
He said seeing the smiles of parents and players was fantastic.
The group involved juniors from the Horsham Saints, Horsham Demons, Kalkee, Rupanyup, Taylors Lake, Hopetoun, Kaniva and Laharum.
Sostheim said it was a big effort by the clubs to come together for the day.
“It’s not about clubs and scoreboards at this age,” he said.
“It’s about seeing the kids enjoy themselves.”
