Man in the Corner hears buying mouse traps, particularly in Horsham, has become a challenge as suppliers struggle to keep up with demand.
A Facebook post from the Old Peppertree Nursery, in Horsham, on Saturday has gone viral after owners Cathie and Tony Robertson shared their own method.
“Got mice? Try this… bucket of water with a can or bottle threaded with wire and then cover with some peanut butter. A great trick – no poison,” they wrote.
The Robertsons also covered the water bottle with bird seed.
Their advice, which stemmed from catching more than 30 mice with the home-made trap, has been shared hundreds of times as people look to alternative ways to lower mice numbers in their homes.
