It was all square after the first quarter of Saturday’s match at Natimuk, with the sides tied at three goals, three behinds apiece.
The Rams proved the more clinical in front of the sticks during the second quarter.
They managed to lead at the main break 9.6 (60) to 7.8 (50).
The Storm turned it up a notch in the second half, providing more scoring opportunities than the home side.
The took the lead by 13 points.
While both sides entered the final term with a positive mindset, it was the Storm who managed to win the quarter and, eventually, the game.
The scoreboard read 16.15 (111) to 13.12 (90) at the final siren.
Storm co-coach Luke Murphy was the most influential player for the travelling side, scoring four majors and earning his place among the best on the field.
Peter Weir also bagged four goals.
Heath and Ashley Clugston, Sean Bayzand and Jayden Werner were among the Storm’s best players
Ram Nathan Koenig provided the goods again for his side, scoring four goals for the outing.
Wil Ridsdale, Ashley Pekin with two majors, Samuel Anson, Jesse Wilkinson, Hayden Fleay and Brent Marra were the Rams’ best.
