The visit saw coaches run hotshot clinics at eight schools and culminated in a workshop for coaches run by Tennis Australia at Horsham Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday.
Teachers and club volunteers took part in the workshop geared towards strengthening the game at a grassroots level.
“We had 12 teachers and 10 club volunteers take part and it was a great vibe,” Dundas said.
“We had two Tennis Australia coaches from the coach development team break the group up to give them more specialised training.
“The teachers really appreciated having something that was geared to what they could do in schools.”
Dundas said afterwards many of teachers expressed an interest in attending a follow up course with Tennis Australia in September.
“We have put together a whole plan to move forward in the next couple of years,” she said.
“This is just the start of what we are working on and hopefully we can attract a coach to the region in the future.”
