Sitting closely behind, on 16 points, is the powerful Bush team, Marx Metal.
Marx Metal again proved threatening, with Alex Drosg continuing to hold sway at number three. Nick Bush was also in form with his sharp volleying.
Tyrepower went down by four games to AutoPro. Ed Bush shared the sets with Ross McGregor, but the real damage was done in the final set where Chris Hartwich and Wayne Jerram hit form to win 8-4.
Blizzards began appallingly in the first set, struggling to return the ball. However, once Mike Connellan had won his serve from 0-40, Blizzards kept going.
The closest match of the night was the thriller between Stan Hamilton and Fosters Mensland. John Hannett and Stan Payne used their guile to win their first set 5-4. Steve Jardine and John Hannett got Fosters ahead with a 7-2, but then lost every set to go down by one game.
