Horsham Rural City Council extended its schedule after works were delayed by unexpected rainfall on Friday.
Horsham council infrastructure manager Martin Duke said the roundabout would be closed from 7am to 6pm this week and possibly to Wednesday next week.
“We want to get the road open on the weekends,” he said.
“We are aware that the closures have caused inconvenience but we need to get the works done.”
Horsham council still plans to have the road surface fully complete by January 25.
Mr Duke said the road surface became too soft to drive over last week.
“We had unexpected rain of about 15 millimetres. There were pools of water on the road,” he said.
“The road’s drainage is designed for the finished product, not roadworks.”

Roadworks were also delayed last week after a water pipe burst underneath Urquhart Street.
