Adnate started painting the Indigenous-themed mural last month, but the project took longer than he expected.
He said he had to leave Sheep Hills for a few weeks, before returning to complete the project.
The mural is part of Yarriambiack Shire’s Silo Art Trail.
The mural features four Wimmera Indigenous people and represents the passing of knowledge between generations.
Adnate said the silo aimed to to articulate and celebrate the identity of the many young Indigenous people who live in the region.
“I wanted to highlight and celebrate these young people and the significant connection they share with their Elders,” he said.
“The mural is the largest work I’ve ever created and to do it in such a special place and with such an extraordinary group of people is humbling.”
