Australian Hearing Horsham community hearing advisor Bree Boag said the bus had been “flat out” on Tuesday.
“Before we arrived we had people waiting to have their hearing tested and it has continued all day, we have not had a chance to stop,” she said.
About 20 clients were referred to audiologists for full hearing assessment services from the 47 people tested.
“As well as getting an insight into their hearing health, they can be given information on where else to go for hearing needs,” Ms Boag said.
“We have referred more clients than we expected so audiologists will be very busy seeing our clients for full appointments at Patrick Street Medical Clinic.”
Hearing Bus client John Anyon said it was a great resource to residents of Stawell and other communities where the bus offered its services.
“It was very helpful because I have been booked in to get some new hearing aids,” he said.
“Also it is a free service and that is what I like to see.”
As of January 2016 Australian Hearing had eleven buses travelling across Australia.
